Collaboration with Helen Bichsel for Parsons

My friend Helen Bichsel asked me to do the pattern making, cutting and sewing for a piece from her Parsons Senior Thesis Collection. The piece is this silk Mercado Jacket, featuring eyelet closures, patch pockets and double pleats running down the jacket. A spin on a vintage silhouette. we had 3 fittings, 2 of the toil and one of the final. The print Helen designed herself and had custom printed digitally through a fabric manufacturer. the details are incredibly special and I was honored to be apart of this collaboration.
